Tennis Court Construction

We have a comprehensive range of tennis surfaces for both outdoor and indoor use.

They comprise: artificial grass, porous macadam, porous and impervious acrylic, QuickCourt and artificial clay.

Do you have sufficient land for a new court?

The overall dimensions vary between 33.5m x 16.5m (recreational standard) – although smaller ones are built occasionally – and 36.6m x 18.3m (The Lawn Tennis Association’s recommended full size) and ideally the site should be large enough for a level >0.6m perimeter around.

Most of our surfaces are porous to cope with the vagaries of the British climate so there is no need for the court to be dried before play can commence following rain.

We undertake the full package from preparing the site to “ready for play” and offer alternative surfaces, colours and fencing styles to suit both budgetary and usage requirements.

In addition we can provide court floodlighting using our Advantage low profile system or retractable units for attaching to the fence posts or traditional corner-mounted schemes suitable for all standards of play and planning authority stipulations.

ARTIFICIAL GRASSES

ProTurf Standard

Proturf Standard is a sand-filled artificial grass tennis surface.

The 19mm pile makes this surface ideal for private tennis courts.

Hard-wearing Proturf Standard is free draining and will allow play throughout the year.

ProTurf Plus

Proturf Plus is a sand-filled artificial grass tennis surface.

The dense, comfortable 15mm pile makes this surface ideal for tennis club courts.

Hard-wearing Proturf Plus is free draining and will allow play throughout the year.

ProTurf Ultra

Proturf Ultra is our signature sand-dressed artificial grass tennis surface.

The super-dense, comfortable 10mm pile makes this surface ideal for tennis club courts where slower playing characteristics are paramount.

Hard-wearing Proturf Ultra is free draining and will allow play throughout the year.

QuickCourt Sand-dressed Needlepunch surface

QuickCourt is ideal for upgrading existing macadam tennis courts in private installations.

The in-built cushion is comfortable underfoot with good grip and consistent playing characteristics.

Colours: Blue, Green, Olive Green and Terracotta.

The free-draining easy to maintain surface allows year round play.

MACADAM AND ACRYLIC SURFACES

Placourt Porous Macadam Tennis Courts

Have a permeable foundation of broken, graded stone over which the Placourt Macadam surface is laid. An open-textured macadam basecourse may be added where extra strength is important.

The resulting tennis surface is free draining, hard-wearing and allows play throughout the year and requires little maintenance.

Poraflex Porous Acrylic Tennis Courts

Poraflex is a high performance water permeable cushioned acrylic surface.

The patented system comprises a high quality rubber mat and specially formulated spray coatings resulting in a surface that has optimum cushioning with the added advantage of porosity. The surface is extremely useful in rainy climates where traditional impervious acrylic courts will retain water on the surface and make play impractical during times of wet weather.

Poraflex is free draining. Therefore, court use throughout the year is greatly extended.

As well as being extremely durable and resistant to wear, the cushioning effect will remain constant throughout seasonal temperature variations and over many years of use.

The cushion mat is prefabricated to a uniform thickness. This gives consistent ball bounce on all areas of the court.

Proflex Impervious Acrylic Tennis Courts

Proflex is an impervious acrylic surface which is offered both with and without cushioning.

The surface is great for indoor courts.

The cushioned version incorporates a prefabricated rubber pad of uniform thickness giving consistent ball bounce on all areas of the court.
Colours: Blue, Green, Olive Green and Terracotta.

The free-draining easy to maintain surface allows year round play.

REAL CLAY AND ARTIFICIAL CLAY COURTS

Grand Clay Tennis Courts

Grand Clay is an artificial clay tennis surface.

The surface has the playing characteristics of real clay but without the high maintenance input.

The surface allows controlled sliding and is consistent over the whole area.

Simple regular maintenance procedures will keep the surface in great condition.

Grand Clay is the players’ choice.
